Easter is almost here! With easter comes great recipes and cute little bunnies ;) .  So I decided to make Easter cake pops! Now if you remember back in January I did my first try at it! Although the tasted great they didn’t look so good:

So I decided to do one in the book I got for christmas!

Click here to see how to make the cake for the pops! There is one difference don’t roll the cake into balls make egg shaped (more like a oval).

While they are in the fridge (to become more firm) get all the fun stuff to decorate the cake pops with!

I got a TON of different kinds of sprinkles to use and of course melted the chocolate:

Then we started with a practice one! SOOOOO highly recommend this I promise you well worth. The pop will be ugly (see below) but then you can then become familiar with how to add stuff to the chocolate and also how quickly it dries (which is REALLY fast when it is on the cake). You can then taste test with the ugly one! LOL MMMMM worth the sacrifice! :

Now comes the fun!

Dip the cake in the chocolate (keep the ones you have not dipped yet in the fridge keeps them firm longer):

Try not to eat the chocolate (yeah I know this is a lot to ask it looks yummy)

Decorate how you like!  The chocolate stays melted in the bowl for almost  a half hour before you need to melt it again. I learned the hard way that the minute it gets on the cake it will be hard in about a minute or two at most so work fast! Some of my cake pops only got half done! LOL

I have a friend who helped me with this and hers turned out REALLY nice!:

When done make them look all pretty and wrap them in plastic and a twist tie:

Here is the final product!!

This is something I would do with friends or family! It is time consuming but it is great time to talk and just laugh at what turns out!
