I am actually excited about the Cartbuster sale (yeah I know I have no life) because I am out of just about everything and really need to stock up. A Kroger owned store is just a two minute drive from my house so I will be totally taking advantage of this sale.

A few months back my hubby introduced me to Magnum ice cream bars. I had never heard of them. When my hubby saw the commercial for them on TV he about jumped out of his seat and ran to the store to get them. My husband is from South Africa and apparently they have had these for years down there. There is just four words to describe these… OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! OK that does not do it justice! I feel like we, as a country, were a day late and a dollar short when it comes to these. Coming from a non-chocolate lover (blasphemy I know) that is saying a lot. The Magnum ice cream bars not only are a cartbuster sale but is also apart of today’s (October 11th) daily deals. So not only will there be Cartbuster sales on many items that you regularly buy, but there is also daily deals! These deals are AWESOME!
Magnum is $1.50 off today for the daily deal!
So I decided to see if I can get creative and find a recipe using Magnum ice cream bars and this is what I found!
Magnum Ice Cream and berry treat:
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cream
- 1/2 cup of chopped white, Milk, or dark chocolate
- 4 Magnum white almond bars
- 260 grams of mixed berries (can be frozen or fresh)
Instructions:
Take your milk and your cream and boil it in a saucepan over medium heat.
Once it reaches a boil remove it and add your chocolate and stir until the mixture is completely smooth.
Once that sauce mixture is cooled then you can begin setting up the finished product.
First, take your Magnum ice cream bars, remove the stick (If you can I couldn’t get it to come off), and cut them into three pieces each.
Space out the Magnum ice cream cuts on a plate, take your mixed berries and place them around, then pour the cooled sauce over.
It is hubby approved!

I tried a Magnum double caramel bar for the first time last week and WOW was it yummy! I would have never thought of doing something like this but I love ice cream and berries. Great idea!!
