Valentines day is just around the corner (or retailers want you to think it is 11:59 PM on February 13th right now). Ever just want to surprise your loved one with something fun?
Being a Pinterest addicted OF COURSE I went there to get some ideas and found some great ideas. This one was my favorite.
What you need:
- Box cake mix
- Hershey Kisses
- Butter (yup butter)
- Milk
- eggs
- cupcake paper
Normally I like to do things from scratch but I was LAZY and decided to do the box cake. I have never liked the consistency of box batter. Too runny. I LOVE fluffy and thick. So back to pinterest I go, looking for a way to do this with box cake mix! (I would give them credit but I can’t find my pin for it).
Wholly thick batter batman!!
**warning this batter will make children want to do chores for you (GREAT)and dogs to eat your cupcakes (BOO)
This is so ridiculously easy you will do it all the time…
Step 1: Pour box cake mix in bowl.
TO MAKE FLUFFY
- Use 1 or 2 more eggs than the directions say on the box
- Instead of oil use real butter melted and double it (so 1/2 cup oil = 1 cup butter)
- replace the water with milk
Step 2: Mix until fluffy (it is SOOO fluffy and thick)
Step 3: Put in cupcake tins:
Fill to the top (basically almost over flowing) because they are not going to rise too much.
Step 4: Put in the oven and let it cook approximately 4-5 minutes. Take them out and put in the kiss:
Step 5: Put back in the oven to finish
WHALA…
Make sure you have someone to give them to otherwise you will eat them all!
